Although
it helps, it is not essential to be qualified to apply for this role. You may

sector, or the NHS for example, or worked/volunteered with children in
non-school environment. You may be leaving college with a level 2 in education
and early years, or a certificate in childcare and are looking for the
opportunity to share your skills.

to engage pupils and develop their desire to learn. You will help inspire them
to be confident and independent. You will need to be calm, patient, sensitive,
and able to comfort children when they are upset. We are looking for
people who demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for creating a
supportive learning environment.
THE ROLE
An ELAN LSA - SEND 1:1 is positive, a team player, motivational, flexible, creative, and innovative with a supportive nature, as well as being confident, calm, consistent and resourceful with experience supporting pupils in a classroom environment, with Special Educational Needs or disabilities (SEND).
You will work within our autism resource base, The Den to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching and learning across all subjects delivering the TEACCH approach. You will help to create learning environments where pupils can expand their knowledge working 1:1 and in small groups. You will work with the school community to uphold our trust and school values.

Previous experience working with children who have Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and complex, additional needs, experience implementing positive behaviour management programmes, delivering evidence based, targeted interventions to move children forward, experience working with outside families and outside agencies would be favourable.
